Dinner ideas for parents' visit?

  • 7

My parents are visiting in two weeks and our plan is to go out to dinner on Saturday night. I get to choose the restaurant so this is kind of an excuse to get them to take me out to a nice dinner! I'd like to go somewhere with great food (obviously) in Boston or Cambridge that's nice but not too stuffy. We all eat everything.

Any recommendations would be great!

  1. S8, please give us some guidelines, so we can help.

    1. Get yourself set up on Open Table if you are planning to make a reservation for 3 + people for a Saturday night in less than 10 days.

      1. To give you a head start of places to consider here is a copy of the list that I gave my mom for their trip up here next month. Most in Cambridge, or easy access into Boston from Central Square. Most I've been to and enjoyed or got good reviews on Chowhound. Some you will probably/might have problems making a reservation at.

Craigie on Main would also be a great dinner option (in the expensive category). Amazingly good food, definitely not a stuffy room. May be hard to get reservations for a Saturday night unless you go very early or very late.

And another one that I left of the list (because my parents have already been) is Rendezvous in Central Square.

        2. My short list:

          Ten Tables - Cambridge

          1. Wow! Thanks very much for all of your suggestions!
