Pumpkin Syrup for coffee

I'd like to make a basic pumpkin flavored syrup to put in coffee. What ratio of pumpkin spice should be used with the sugar? I was thinking of a 1-1/2 cup sugar - 1 cup water mix. A tablespoon or two of spice? Thanks.

simple syrup is a 1:1 ratio of sugar and water. just add the spice in small bits til you're happy with the flavor.
