Red Chilli

We decided to give a try to the Red Chilli Thai Restaurant this evening.
We just did the take-out this time as we live nearby.

Apps were the Chicken and Lamb Satay along with Pho Pia Phak (Spring Roll)

The Chicken Satay was nice, not dry and suitably cooked. A nice flavour with peanut sauce on the side.
Lamb Satay was not fully cooked and a little chewy, however the taste was good.

Pho Pia Phak was very, very tasty. I did not need to use the sauce that came with it. I enjoyed the flavour on it's own.

We went with the Phad Thai for mains and we were very happy with our selections. The Chicken Phad Thai was an authentic style and what was appreciated was the flavour that comes with a more authentic style.

Sorry, no ketchup Phad Thai here.

There could have been a little more chicken in the mix, but we were overall quite pleased.

We also ordered the Phad Kee Mao (Thai Spicy Noodle). Vegetarian. Wow, flame on. This will bring beads of perspiration to your forehead, well for us it did. Very tasty though.

I guess the Red Chilli, because they are new, are trying to establish customer loyalty and because we ordered quite a bit tonight, they added a complimentary order of General Thai Chicken.
We were all very pleased with the level of spiciness in this dish (mild) and the veggies were not overly done and yet cooked enough to satisfy our tastes. This dish is small pieces of breaded chicken with onion, pepper and sauce.

Not the best Thai food we have had however it is a step above a certain other chain out there and a lot more authentic.

They are just east of Greenwood Ave. on The Danforth and they may do well here. I will be ordering from them again however I am not likely to use their dining area.
