Pastry slide at the Vineyard Farmer's Market?

One of my favorite verbotten guilty pleasures has been the almond croissant on Saturday mornings, sorry I don't even recall their name, just always hone in using radar. Major dissapointment last Saturday, noticed variation in the sizes, then later, where the pastry meets the palate, the filling in one of the two was virtually MIA, and the pastry itself wasn't anywhere close to what I've gotten used to, in fact, threw half of the second away. At $3 a pop, was not pleased. Did this business change hands by any chance?

The only bakery, that I know of, at the Vineyard Farmer's Market is Dolce Artes (owned by the couple who had Bistro Rustico). Same owner's, and I know that Varouj has a very high standard for quality. Possibly one mishap? I have always had consistently great breads, pastries and desserts from them.

Thanks cq, i also recall that the shape was different. Will take a closer look next time.

Should have included Fresno in the title.

aww, we figured that out, who know you! but seriously, it is a good thing to put the town in the title for out-of-area people or visitors. The SD posters drive me crazy sometimes.
