"Popping the questin" in Westport--advice needed

northjerseyjim Oct 6, 2009 01:03 PM

We will be staying in Westport , Ct. the weekend of Oct.16-18. Since this is our first visit , I was hoping someone could suggest a romantic restaurant, location, or event to help make the moment special. We are an older couple and it will be the second marriage for both of us. (no skydiving, etc.!) Thank you to all who respond.

I forgot too--da Pietro's is intimate and excellent. As are many of the french places in that area--Blue Lemon. Or Schoolhouse at Cannondale in Wilton. Or Roger Sherman Inn. You can search for these on the Tristate board.

I second the Schoolhouse at Cannondale.

Suggestion: You may want to post this in Tristate board--more Fairfield County people on there. Good Luck. Congratulations!
First thing that comes to my mind is The Dressing Room (Paul Newman's place). They may have fireplace going if it is chilly out. You can sit in the bar side that has a nice rustic atmosphere--nice!
