I am looking for a restaurant which would accept a reservation for 10-20 pp on Sunday, October 18 around 1pm following the Making Strides against Breast Cancer walk in Central Park. The Walk finishes on the West side of the Park near 72nd, so ideally in close proximity. For this crowd, reasonable prices would be more important than great food. Thanks for any suggestions.

  1. On the block of 72nd St. between CPW and Columbus are Trattoria Sambuca and Dallas BBQ. Either would be able to handle your group, each has reasonable prices. The food at each is pretty good but not better than pretty good.

    1. Lansky's Columbus between 70 & 71 has good food and very reasonable prices.

      1. If you/they are into burgers, you might want to look into the downstairs room at Shake Shack (Columbus & 77th). That might be really fun for your group to have the whole room -- and of course the shakes and all that.

        1. Cafe Ronda is the clear choice

Arte Pasta on 73rd off Columbus, nice prix fixe lunch and cute place.

I just did the prix fixe dinner at Arte Cafe last week. What a steal! Three courses for I think $15.95. Granted, a lot of the dishes have supplements but at such a reasonable base price I found it fine. I also loved that coffee or tea was included. I agree, nice place and great pick. N.B. Prix fixe dinner only offered M-F, I believe. Also, I overheard at another table the diner complained about only receiving the regular menu, even though he seemed to arrive a few minutes before the 6 p.m. cut-off time. Hence, best to arrive well within the prix fixe serving hours.
