Have any of you hounds had any luck or heard of anyone just showing up at Momofuku Ko without a res and snagging a seat?
Thanks

That's not going to happen. The website pretty much assures that any cancellations are snapped up pretty quickly.

When they first opened, I walked in and asked if they took walk-ins. They politely (but firmly) told me no. It was before their reservation system was so well known. Granted it was ages ago, but they almost seemed amused - here comes a kooky local?

I'm curious, do you ever see an empty seat at Ko? There must be some last minute cancellations and the occasional no show...

I've scoured the website but cannot figure out how far in advance reservations can be made on-line. Can anyone help?
        thanks.

10 am, six days in advance. If you logged in this morning, you would have a chance for a reservation next Monday, Oct. 12.

To the OP, there are no seatings. The reservations are staggered throughout the entire night.

I am a born and bred nyer but now am an out of towner - but i will give it a try tonight --- the vagaries of life sometime can even cause a sophisticated and much hallowed res system to breakdown once in awhile - maybe thew stars will line up - call me crazy -- but do you know how many sittings or is it just 1
        thanks !

There's really no chance that's going to work. Keeping an eye on the reservations for tonight, looking for a cancellation, would be a better way to go. In fact -- no joke, right now there is a 9:20 reservation available for tonight for 1 person (good luck).

i dont know, i have tried every tuesday at 10:00 am (well, I sign in at 9:50 am) for over 2 months and have never gotten lucky. a couple of times i've seen the mythical green checks (for open) but when i click, they are already gone....so sad.

Nothing available for tonight (unless you've snagged the 9:20 resy listed below); there is a 9:30 solo res. available for Saturday night. Don't walk in without a reservation; you'll only get turned away. (I've seen it a number of times; I've also seen some people try to simply run in and grab a seat before the staff can stop them; they get told to leave).

Ellenost, did you ever see an empty seat?

I've never seen an empty seat at either lunch or dinner in the past year.
