Help Me Find the Best Mexican Restaurant in NYC!

My favorite food is Mexican and I am looking for some recommendations as to the best Mexican food in NYC. Suggestions would be much appreciated. I look forward to reading replies.

Of the many spots I've tried, here are some of my favorites:
Best Tex-Mex: Ah! Chihuahua
Authentic: Barrio Chino, Tulcingo del Valle, El Maguey y la Tuna, Hecho en Dumbo
New Mexican (as in the state of New Mexico): Los Dos Molinos

Places on my radar to try: La Superior, Puebla, Downtown Kitchen, El Paso

I hate to say any place is "best" since all are differnet but we like El Parador on 34th St between 1st and 2nd Ave. Nice atmosphere, great mole sauce, very interesting non run of the mill Mexican food. I recently had a fabulous soft shell crab special. Not what you would expect from a Mexican restaurant.

Also try Crema in Chelsea & Hell's Kitchen (get the wild mushroom roll appetizer) in Hell's Kitchen.

What doxy216 is implying is that this topic has been covered recently--if you just search "Best Mexican" you will find some current threads. Most of the best of topics are covered fairly frequently on this board. Some of the threads are fairly extensive and you can get a better idea about the pros and cons of different places. Cheers.

We have all said it before on this site, Toloache, 251 w 50th st near Broadway.
The best......Service is great, food is delicious, authentic, no burritos here.

Clinton Restaurant on Clinton and Houston for burritos, or Taco Santana in Williamsburg for the pastor are my two favorites. Clinton reminds me of neighborhood family places in LA, while Taco Santana is more of a traditional taco cart style place. The al pastor torta ranks among the best sandwiches in new york
