I am looking for high end grocery stores in MA or NH, for two reasons, shopping and working. I think that I am pretty familiar with most, any suggestions?

If you are looking for a great store russo's selection and prices cant be beat...You will not be coddled like whole foods here..But the prices are that good and the selection is better then whole foods.....

Bo-Tes Imports, Norwell Center. Outstanding deli and grocery. Recently reviewed on TV Diner. Also has a very nice wine selection and knowledgeable owner.
      Enjoy,

Russo's and Wilson Farms might qualify. Some of the suggestions seem more like gourmet shops, rather than grocery stores. Are you looking for a place that will have staples and canned goods, or would a boutique or gourmet shop also qualify?

Good point, I guess gourmet to high end grocery, leaning towards the gourmet end. Formaggio's and Dean & DeLuca are for me...

Add to that Savenor's, possibly the highest end of the bunch. A good source for kobe beef, fresh-rendered goose fat and the like.
