Japanese in Tustin, Irvine
Any good Japanese restaurants in Tustin, Irvine open for lunch? I already know about Taiko and Fukada and want to try some new places. Honda ya is open only for dinner, though.

re: mikester
I can't believe I forgot about this place. I do think that Sushi Wasabi is hands down the best in Tustin. FYI...omakase only at the bar. Def worth the trip. My only grip is that if you go regularly you will notice not much change in selection each time and Katsu-San is heavy handed with the Ponzu sauce.
Another great choice I forgot about was Maki-Zushi. IMPORTANT...only eat at the sushi bar and only sit in front of Yoshi-San.

re: Midlife
Ooops! Thought I haad deleted this post after realizing you are already familiar with this place.
Wasn't sure where Fukada was but stumbled over it yesterday meeting my son at Tommy Pastrami next door. Tommy had 4 tables full. Fukada was teeming with people and about 20 waiting for tables. Need to go back.
