What's in Paula Deen's Chocolate Brownie Cobbler recipe?

greygarious Oct 3, 2009 09:29 AM

During her segment on an NPR program, she said that her chocolate brownie cobbler would "knock your socks off your feet and straight into the washing machine" (more or less exact quote). It isn't coming up on her website or a general search. Does anyone know it, and if so, what did you think of it?

Thanks - I was just wondering how Paula adapted the standard recipe to make it all the more lethal ;>)

Yes - she was quite a good sport on Wait, Wait...Don't Tell Me. But unless he was a beachball to begin with, her husband's Nutri-System plan didn't do much. They were on The View just recently and he is quite rotund. Next time I'm in a bookstore I'll try to remember to look for the cobbler in her books. It's not something I'd ever make other than to take to a party. I prefer fruit or nut desserts but chocolate is more of a surefire crowd-pleaser.

It looks like a variation of hot fudge pudding cake:

If it's anything like all the other brownie cobbler recipes I've seen there's a pound of butter and 4 cups of sugar.....not to mention between 6 - 8 eggs, etc., etc., etc.
