Pats Hubba Hubba?

I've never gone but pass by every now and then. Has anyone gone recently?

Not too recently, I'd say 2 months ago for a couple of chili dogs. It's right near my work, so when I don't feel like Colony or Royal Guard for a guilty pleasure, I'll hit it up. I like it.

Cheap, greasy, satisfying...just how I like my...uh...food.

At your recommendation jfood grabbed a chicken Parm from Tony's. It was excellent. Thanks for reminding jfood about this off the beaten path.

Hard to believe you would go to PHH more than once.

I try to limit it b/c health food it ain't... but it's cheap, quick, easy, and I like their chili dogs and chili cheeseburgers.

Pat's Hubba Hubba is great and greasy, perfect for the late, late, late night snack after a night at the bars or an early AM grab-it-and-go recovery project. Chili dogs, fries, and chili cheeseburgers are the standard here. Open til 3AM on weekends.

Giovanni's is a great, authentic Italian Deli where you'd go to grab a quick homemade- style chicken parm or an Italian Hero at lunchtime.

jfood agrees but with the choice so close why even bother with PHH.

If I'm heading home after hockey at Terry Conners, or a softball game at Cummings Park and I do not feel like Colony, a chilidog or a cheeseburger from PHH is poifect.

jfood has neither of those two events so he is not boxed in to that neighborhood for the quick bite. And jfood does not know where you live and whether a closer to home option exists.

As they say you gotta do what you gotta do. heck jfood had a cheese whopper, fries and a choc shake in his hotel room last night. Now that's living large. :-))

OK...you live a nine iron away from jfood. How about, as an alternative, calling Cherry St East when you leave Connor. Even a Bellagio from Gates. Neither hit the greasy meter though. Unfortunately there are no good hot dogs between Connor and NC.

Is there one in Stamford? I know of one in Port Chester. Went once, not recently though.

There's one in Stamford on Cove Road (near Cove Island Park). Used to be one on Bedford Street, but it closed a few years ago and Capriccio expanded into their old space.

Agree with jfood. The Bedford St location used to be a regular late-night spot after leaving the bars, but that's about the only situation where it was worth a visit.

if you are talking about theplace in stamford, do not bother. many other much better choices.
