I am traveling to Hope Idaho this weekend does anybody have any lunch recomendations in hope or sandpoint? I have never been to either place. I am open to any type of cuisine as long as it is good.

I have travelled through Sandpoint quite a number of times. Of the few places I've tried for lunch, none have been very good.

Last time through, a local suggested Trinity Cafe (apparently Cajun/Creole and recommended in another post), Spuds for soup and salad, and Coldwater Creek. I didn't get to any of them.

I like Di Luna's on the main drag through town. They have a lot of local products, and good menu choices. I usually eat breakfast there though rather than lunch. Everything I've had there has been good.

I live almost in Sandpoint and there are lots of casual options. Di Luna's is nice, good food but low on ambiance. Eichart's is a classic local place, tavern & great menu. McDuff's is a brew pub, fun & noisy, slow service but good chow. All three are within 200 yards of each other on Cedar & 1st Ave.; basically the main drag through the heart of town. Want something a taste nicer, but still casual? Try Ivano's Ristorante (http://www.ivanos-sandpoint.com/) also on main drag and hard to miss. Local fave for years.

I'd not call it low rather offbeat ambiance at Di Luna's. I love Italian so keep trying Ivano's but it just misses a little for me. I did get a great lasagna there once but can't seem to get a second serving. They aren't open for lunch on weekends though are they? Lunch bar is closed I know.

Oops, relooking at OP, looks as though they may have already gone last weekend so this may all be moot anyway.
