I love Kathryn's brunch list! But i'm looking to compile a list of brunch places on UWS. Neptune Room was my default for the last few years till it's tragic shut earlier this year. :( Now i'm a little lost cause i haven't been able to find a replacement. a few of decent ones:

Cafe Frida - for huevos rancheros
Calle Ocho - sangria brunch on sunday
Good enough to each - but the wait is just too painful
Dovetail - on sundays
Isabella's/Ocean Grill - eggs benedict (though it doesn't hold a candle to Neptune Room)
Sarabeths
Recipe - though it's really more lunch than brunch
Cafe at Fairways

Any other suggestions?

Compass has a nice, slightly more upscale prix-fixe brunch for $28, which is very good...appetizer platters (smoked fish, savory mini tarts, yogurt with granola and fruit) and dessert platters (mini parfaits, mini cheese cakes, financiers) for the table and individual selection of a brunch or lunch entree. Great coffee, great service, calm surroundings conducive to converstion.

the waits at Sarabeths and Good Enough are way too painful for me to endure.

I like your list - some add ons:

Cafe Rhonda - like the baked eggs especially
Cafe Con Leche - very good Cuban style brunch items
Popover Cafe
Barney Greengrass
Telepan (caveat, I havent been) - gets great reviews
