Start New ThreadGreetings fellow chowers: This Sunday, DH and I are meeting friends in downtown Nyack who have two young children, and we are looking for a pleasant, informal place to have lunch, within walking distance of the theatre on Main Street. American, Italian and Chinese are all acceptable. Any suggestions?

Temptations Cafe. Good for kids, but not in the same league of food as Velo. You might call Velo and see if they can do a children's size plate...

Perfect! Right menu, riight location --- thank you so much , Menton1! I won't fret about about children's size portions -- the kids can probably split a sandwich if need be.

Great recommendation, menton1! Tempations was charming, eager to accomodate the young people in our group, and served tasty food -- a nice choise of sandwiches, salds, etc.. The kids got restless, so we had to come back for dessert -- also very nice -- ice cream was excellent, according to my knolwedgeable DH.
