Planning to take my daugher and some friends for dinner this Saturday (I know it is late... usually more organized). This place turned up in Zagat -- any opinions

Went Today, good stuff. I got the 7th street.
A little pricy for an 8" pizza, but this is DC.

Seventh Hill just opened a week or two ago. It's competent upscale pizza. Seating is very limited, especially as we get into no-outdoor-tables weather.

Does not sound like a good choice for what may be 4 of us. Anyone have any ideas in the Dupont Circle area for a decently priced place with good food? I don't know DC at all - first visit to our daughter who just moved there to do a fellowship for a year.

Hi sfdoc, I recommend Bistrot du Coin (French bistro) and Pizzeria Paradiso (Neapolitan-style pizza) in Dupont Circle. Bistro du Coin has a fun, lively atmosphere and pretty good food, and Pizzeria Paradiso's pizza is one of the best in the city.

Gigi has good suggestions, I think. You might also look up Hank's Oyster Bar and Sette Osteria, for a couple more options.

Sette makes very good pizza, one of the better in the city.

If you want to stick with pizza, in Dupont there is the wonderful Pizzeria Paradisio. Other places to consider in Dupont would be Bistro du Coin, Hank's Oyster Bar, Sette Osteria (also makes pizza but I also really like their pastas).

I really wanted some place that would take a reservation and Bistro du Coin was PERFECT. Food was quite good, it was remarkably affordable, very lively and very French. The girls loved it and I would recommend it.
