ISO "Really Good" Pasta in Oakland for lunch today

I'm taking my friend to lunch today for her birthday and she's craving "really good" pasta. We work in Oakland by Lake Marriott, but have a car. Any suggestions? We have about an hour for lunch so can't be too far.

    Dopo is what came to mind first for me too, but I've never been for lunch, so do check to make sure that pasta's on the menu.

    If B is serving their gnocchi today, that's one of the best pasta dishes I've had all year.

      Second on Dopo, they make my favorite pasta in Oakland, but definitely call to see if there is pasta at lunch. Otherwise, Oliveto.

      Second on Oliveto. At lunch they have pasta upstairs, not downstairs.

      Dopo has first-rate pasta at dinner, but lunch might be just panini and pizzas, give them a call.

      B has one daily pasta at lunch.
