I believe Isabella's in Little Italy has subs that people on this board have raved about.

Isabella's is on the corner of High and Stiles in Little Italy. The pizza is quite good as well.

AnnaMaria is on Light Street in Federal Hill just north of Cross Street.

Trinacria's sub was great. House-made bread (not a roll, more like a loaf of bread) soppressata, proscuitto, lettuce ,tomato, balsamic vinegar, grilled peppers and olive oil for around 6 bucks. I still have the other half. Also, a pound of huge green olives for 7 bucks. Like buttah! Saw some beautiful homemade sausages and lots of other great stuff. The owner, who had to be in his 80's came up to me outside and said "Don't pay the meter, next time park around back. Don't tip the counter help, either. You'll spoil 'em." Where do you get customer care like that?
