Apple Picking in Rhode Island

Anyone have a favorite orchard? I am in the Elmhurst section of Providence so places in the Northwestern part of the state would be ideal. I have a two year old in tow so bonus points for places with pettings zoos or other entertainment for the little ones.

    1. Pippin Orchard in Cranston is a nice family placea also Bardens orchard both are really good places. Most pick them but thest two let you pick and pay.

        1. There are a ton of places that let you pick in RI. Here's a link:

I've been all over, quite frankly to so many that they all seem to blur together. The only place I didn't like, just because I didn't think the staff was very friendly, was Dame Farm. Barden is good. Phantom Farms is good, and if I recall they have hayrides and a playground as well. A lot of these places have their own websites, so you can check them out that way.

Sorry I can't be more help, but honestly they're all decent, with the exception of the crabby people at Dame :) (Although it is family-owned and they do have horse-pulled hayrides.)

            1. I love Hill Orchards... definitely no petting zoo but I think they might do hay rides, not sure though. Just a beautiful orchard, well-tended by great people.
