What are some good freeway close restaurants off this stretch of the 405? Thank you.

  1. I'll start you off with S Fine Dining. It's in an outbuilding at the Wesminster Mall (Bolsa Ave exit). French-Viet fusion restaurant, white linen, upscale restaurant. Appropriate for a business lunch. Is that what you want, or do you want a cheaper place to grub by youself?

    1. Russell's in Seal Beach circa 1994. Juicy cheeseburgers, wonderfully waxy hashbrowns, and (literally) mile-high meringue pies, the least of which was lemon meringue.

If you're one of these unimaginative types who insists on living in the present, I recommend either the excellent Beachwood BBQ (a small trek from the 405, but you'll wind up only a block from one of California's great wood piers) or the Bake 'n Broil -- easy-off, easy-on, fine ol' Yankee food.
