Because it's something that's NEVER BEEN SEEN BEFORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Suzanne going home? Finally. Good riddance. Could she be more in love with herself if she tried???

Why didn't anyone nominate Kevin? He royally messed up the rice - or Tennille? She should have known - Ariel told her it was over cooked.

Yikies.

You can't go home for prepping....that's never happened before. I wouldn't be surprised if Kevin did that on purpose to screw someone up.

As for Tennille, I wish she got sent home. I felt bad for Dave. He did fine, or so it seems. I think he should've picked the two to get sent home.

LOL at your subject line! :-D

And yay for Suzanne, but I do wish Tennille had been auf'ed. I am so. sick. of. her. YELLING!!!!! at the camera.

Ariel at least got a win under her belt. And since it's usually a guy/girl Final 2, I'm going with Ariel and Kevin.

For some reason, Mr. this is Colorado lamb with.......ummmm......this is colorado lamb with rainbow...........ummm..... the sauce is a re.........................ummm......... Dave has really grown on me. It might just be the editing but man this guy is hustling in the kitchen. How many services has he saved with one hand?

Although I like Ariel and I'm glad she won the challenge, I would love to see a Dave/Kevin Final 2.

OK, that just STUNNED me. (Dave in front of the Bon Appetit folks being unable to articulate what he was serving.) Perhaps he's hustling, but often part of selling his food is being able to describe it in an appealing way - and he seems to be incapable of doing that. Dunno - I've not liked Dave at all for the most part. Can't see him "running a kitchen". A diner, maybe.

Another thing that irked me last night - Kevin's constant harping on anyone else who screwed up. Ummm, you prepped some pretty lousy rice for the risotto yourself, Kevin. Pot? Why hello, Kettle!

Dave isn't really very articulate to begin with so put him in front of a camera and a panel of Bon Appetit editors and tah dah! Mumbles McGee.

Yes, but in front of the camera, he's at least able to get a complete sentence out. Most of the time. ;-) Real people seem to paralyze him.

:nodding: I'm thinking he must have been on a ton of painkillers to have been able to do everything he's doing. If that's the case, more power to him!

UGH!!! I can't stand Dave. I was ok with him at first, and I don't want him to be in pain, but jeez just go home already! If I have to listen to one more second of his drowning, I'm going to lose my mind. Plus this episode he was such a snot.

so glad to see S go home. she was getting on my last nerve!
OMG the drama in the previews with dave's wrist! wth. i feel bad for the guy, it must hurt like crazy! I was laughing at Kevin trying to get him to quit... no way is he going to take himself out of it unless something huge happens!

doh! i just saw this after i composed my own post but at this point dont you think people shouldn't be overcooking rice? and seriously, dave's voice? I can't take it but at this juncture considering his broken wrist , he should just win already. good riddance suzanne but i was shocked that she went. I think Gordon actually liked her. Ariel , as I said, is so flying under the radar but there's nowhere for her to hide now so I think we'll see a finale of Kevin vs. Dave. I think. Do I care? Nah. But of course I'll still watch !

Oh, I so totally agree, HJ! No one that is still there should be serving overcooked rice/undercooked protein... and Yes. I want to smack Dave between the tone of voice and the can't describe his food to a stranger... UGH! But, that being said (the part about the cooking at least) the show is about the drama, not about the food, really. So how fun would it be if everything was perfectly cooked?!?!
I don't care either who wins, I expect Kevin and Ariel to be in the finale, but it could be Dave and Kevin if Dave can actually play thru the pain.

What was up with Kevin last night???

I was liking him until last night, and then all episode I found him to be incredibly obnoxious...
He was being sneaky to Dave, he was arrogant, he was bossing everyone around, he screwed up the rice and then had the gall to put down the others for screwing up their dishes?? WTH?
I admit I havent paid attention too much to th various personalities on HK - so has he always been obnoxious so far?

NOpe, but he hasn't been featured as prominently as the others. He was remarkably smug last night, especially like you said, since he messed up the rice, which in turn halted the risotto production. He needed to eat a little humble pie.

well, and I think once he got into the black jacket he stopped with the team player act and started trying to prove that he should win. I think I recall him making some comment like that anyway.

And BTW... was it just me or did last week Van call JP "Fussy Britches"?!?! LOL
