Bend and Sisters

Friends are visiting Bend and Sisters the weekend of Oct. 9-11. I find few posts on them.

Best guesses in Bend:
Ariana, Cork or Zyedeco (some like Blacksmith - looks pricey?).

Best guesses in Sisters:
Jens Garden (but small portions, and I can see limited selections and wonder overpriced?), Slicks for BBQ (I can't find it online), perhaps Martolli's for snack pizza, Sno-Cap or High Lakes for shakes and maybe burgers.

Opinions? Suggestions?
Thanks.

Ariana's and Zydeco are still tops; haven't been to Cork for some time.

What you said about Jen's Garden is correct. Chloe's in Sisters: havent been (apparently need to get out of the house) but when they were in Redmond, they were excellent.

If they get to Redmond: Diego's, Coyote Ranch (looks ordinary, good food), or Brickhouse.

Thanks, Steve K. I'll pass along the info and make note of it for the future.

Any new information about good places to eat in the Bend/Sisters area? We're thinking of driving down to Malheur this summer and would appreciate some tips

Previous recs haven't changed, EXCEPT that Cork, 28, Staccato and Firehouse Red have closed. All of the spots are being reopened under new everything; you will have to check back closer to your visit, to see how the new places are doing.

The area has some very nice restaurants, more than the population has been able to support in the current economy.
