I finally decided it was time to see how this wine was progressing and I'm glad I did. It has definitely gotten much better since I had it last a couple of years ago.

Deep purple/garnet color. Nose of of plum, cassis, cedar and after some time in the glass, vanilla and caramel. Lots of red fruit, spices, red currant and a touch of lavender on the palate. Nice long finish. It is becoming quite an elegant wine. Nice acidity, good mouthfeel. Drinking very well right now, and should get better over the next couple of years.
