Killing Time in Hong Kong Solo!

I just spent the last little while trying to find the thread about dining solo in HK and can't seem to find it.
Could someone link it here? it keeps eluding every combination of search terms I try.
I'm trying to come up with an itinerary for my trip to HK...I'm good hitting the holes in the a wall solo but don't want to limit myself to street food and food court dining. My friends are all working during the day and I'll be enjoying the good grub the city has to offer during the day--but don't want my lack of a 2nd or 3rd to be an obstacle to getting good food.
any suggestions--for kowloon or central welcome...chances are i won't hike it out to the new territories.
and i'm assuming getting hooked up with a private kitchen depends on connections?
thanks for any info.
there are so many choices in HK indeed, maybe you can do what I do sometimes, just walk / wander around and go in whichever restaurants spark your sudden craving ... but just a note of caution, you might end up eating many meals within a time span of a few hours ... :) ... a truly food quest
Let me throw my cards in here as well. I am going to China, and will be spending 2 nights in HK on the way in, and 1 night on the way out...for a total of 3 nights in HK.
I will be staying at the Intercontinental Hotel in Kowloon. I am a foodie, not pretentious at all, and love to eat "local". Having searched the boards this weekend, I am looking at the Guangdong Barbecue Restaurant at 43 Hankow Road for some BBQ/roasted meats. I am still looking for someplace that features seafood......
Keep the suggestions coming folks...please!
