I made the trip today from Stamford after hearing raves from a friend and was somewhat disappointed. Expensive ($3 for what was essentially a jelly doughnut, sugared fried dough, sliced, with raspberry or strawberry jelly in the middle). $3 for an okay macaroon, $5 for a decent, but not standout baguette. Their stock in trade, thought, appears to be handmade chocolates and very attractive pastries. I was too late for the telltale croissant, they had sold out of this bellweather, labor intensive item.

I've had some hits and misses there myself. I bought the chocolates this past xmas and I guess I am not a fancy chocolate person. In my book they were ok but I wouldn't rush back and by them again. I thought they were too expensive for my taste. Give me lindt or something more basic and I am ok. I paid about 40 or so for the box and it wasn't my cuppa tea! I have also had a vanilla pastry that I wasn't impressed with. I thought it was tasteless.
