It looks like Lucille's closed quickly. Anyone know what is going in the space next? Another restaurant? Inquiring minds want to know!

Here is my comment about Lucille's from another posting on Chowhound - you can go to that to see a few other comments.

I was told by a restaurant owner that a guy was opening up a Mexican restaurant in that spot (former Lucille's), and my notes said that this guy already owns a restaurant called something like "The Ville" in Boston. What he probably told me was the Bostonville Grille which may explain what you saw.

On a related note, is Joey Crugnale up to anything else? I must confess I loved the food at Red Sauce and would go anywhere that had their chicken parm (loved how thin it was and whatever breading they used) or pumpkin ravioli.

Just drove by and a new sign is up - something along the lines of "The Fat Cactus". And I, too, have seen the Bostonville Grille truncks there frequently.

I've spoken with people at Bostonville, yes it is definitely owned by them. Thanks for the heads up.

The sign says Fat Cactus Mexican Cantina. Looks like they added an outdoor ,covered deck around the side and back of the building. Good luck to them. That location has been a blackhole for whatever is there.

Wow! I didn't even realize it had opened as Lucille's yet alone already closed! That was fast. I had driven by and saw renovations ongoing, I just assumed they were for Lucille's still. Do we really need *another* mexican place in the area?

Forgive my slowness, but are you saying there was a restaurant called Lucille's after the Naked Fish on Rt. 1 North? On the same drive when I noticed the still closed Bel Air, I was surprised to see this space looking so deserted. It was always crowded as Naked Fish it seemed.

a little skeptical about that whole building...the turn over from Naked Fish to Lucille's to now whatever its going to be makes me wonder...plus if it is Mexican...anyone coming up Rt. 1 North before lynnfield is going to stop at The Border Cafe for Mexican before they even realize less than a few miles up is another spot to grab a Margarita and tacos...
Speaking of Mexican food, I heard awhile back, that the restaurant chain "Margaritas" and is going in Danvers across from Liberty tree mall where the Crab house used to be (same plaza as the old Linen's & Things) anyone hear about that??

I did hear a rumor about Margaritas going into the Crab House. But are their any liquor licenses available in Danvers? I thought the Crab House sold their license to Buffalo Wild Wings that is going into the old Boater's World. I could have this all wrong, but I guess only time will tell.
