There are a few places. The first one that comes to mind is the Globe Restaurant on Danforth Ave., just east of Broadview - www.globebistro.com

Also, an excellent French Bistro - Batifole Restaurant on Gerrard, near Carlaw www.batifole.ca

A few to consider in Leslieville (good but not necessarily "fine dining") include Edward Levesque Kitchen, the Citizen and Table 17

All good suggestions. Globe would be the only one I would consider close to fine dining.

Globe Bistro, as suggested by soko, Celestin or Lai Toh Heen (Mt. Pleasant & Eglinton) are other options. I consider Batifole, Citizen, et al to be more neighbourhood restos rather than "fine dining". I have enjoyed Batifole very much, but others have complained on the board, and you could do a search for more info. Citizen has its shining moments. Edward Levesque, too.

Perhaps you could provide more info. as to what you mean by "fine dining" and what your food preferences are.

Not sure why one would complain about Batifole. I agree that its not fine dining, but its semi-formal or cool French dining. Its not as "fine" as Globe (another place that I would say is low end high dining...just because its expensive and its a modern looking restaurant, doesn't mean its fine dining) but its higher end to an extent.

Celestin is more fine dining, in my opinion, as far as atmosphere and food options go.

Edward Levesque - its service would lend it to be called not-so-fine dining :)

We've actually had good service at Edward Levesque - maybe ours was an unusual experience?

I like Batifole as well. Both are casual restaurants, but I like the food.
