Gripe about delis

I love sandwiches, they are my preferred workday lunch item, but I often encounter perfectly nice sandwiches made wrong by one deli or other.
Why would they slather mayo on the cheese side? Why do they, more often than not, ignore the request for no lettuce? And why is more often than not ::shudder:: shredded lettuce (not a lettuce leave that can be taken out easily))?
Grrr, is anyone else bothered by this?

  1. What I'd like to know is why, oh why do delis put dressing/spread/etc on EVERY premade sandwich??? I do not happen to like horseradish on roast beef but this seems to be a trend in my area. Please, for those of us who don't love mayo, leave it out and let the customer put on his/her spread of choice!

    1. yes I have been given mustard on the salad side and mayo on the meat side. Train your staff please!!

      1. My gripe about delis: Why must the pre-slice everything- and then give you an attitude when you want it 1) Freshly sliced and 2) Sliced *THIN*...not half an inch thick!
