Slurping Good Soups

Okay, I will fess up that I am friends with the Chef, but his soups are ridiculously good as many of us in Teaneck can attest to. I've been lucky enough to do taste testing since the beginning of the venture and my favorite all along is the black bean, but the other ones are really good as well (okay, I admit, I am not a tomato soup fan).

He does not have the nutritionals up right now but these soups are lower in fat and salt and higher in fiber than anything you will find the stores.

Now the kashruth issue. The soups are not under supervision yet (he's working on it), so those of us who know Stuie (the chef) have no compunction about kashruth.

Here is the web site:

He will deliver in Teaneck, and possibly other local places and ship elsewhere.

For some reason this conjures up an image of a stone-faced immigrant chef with a thick Stalin-esque mustache saying "no soup for you". :-)

he could do that, Stuie WOULD do that, and then giggle like a 7 year old.

Cute! but at $7/qt it will be no soup for me :)

I know the price seems/is steep, part of it has to do with his small scale of production. Just try it once.
          Start with the black bean.

Just how much soup are you getting for the $7?

it says each soup is 30 ounces (little less then a quart for all the math challeged folk)
