        <content>We are looking for the best Grilled Cheese Sandwich  in Los Angeles but not at Campanile? Preferably near the Southbay but we are willing to travel a bit. Any ideas?</content>

      <content>Duke's on Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood makes something called a mushroom/onion melt.  Grilled onions and mushrooms in a grilled cheese sandwich.  Unbelievably good.  Communal tables, greasy-spoon type place.</content>

      <content>It's not in the southbay, but I like the "California Melt" at Say Cheese in Silverlake -- not a strict grilled cheese per se, since it has roast turkey on it, but is very satisfying.  Roast turkey, jack cheese, red onion and tomato with mayo and dijon mustard, grilled on rosemary bread.  It's very tasty.

      <content>Sorry none in South Bay: Aside from Duke's on Sunset suggested below, Fred's 62 (Vermont in Los Feliz) has an awesome, down-home GC.  As does LA Brea Bakery...get it to go and pay 1/3 the cost of the one sold in the adjacent Campanile</content>
