Rose Water, Stone Park, Convivium?

Husband's birthday coming up. He requests Rosewater, Stone Park, or Convivium. Neither of us has been in a while and recent CH posts are several months old. Suggestions? I don't want to disappoint.

I've never been to Rosewater, but I love Convivium. Would recommend that. Don't really care for Stone Park. Too much attitude for not good enough food.

Agree on both counts. I've always gotten the impression that Stone Park wanted to teleport itself into Midtown based on sheer self-regard, without bothering to make the food hold up its end of the bargain.

I've never been to Convivium and am a fan of Stone Park, but I do recommend Rosewater for a special occasion. If you let them know when you reserve, they are incredibly sweet and do special things. (I write as someone who got engaged there and have gone on to have several special occasion meals at the restaurant.) I don't think Rosewater will disappoint, particularly if you get a cozy corner table.

I've been to all three of late. I think I'd pick Convivium because it's coziest. The poster above has good advice about Rosewater, but I bet Convivium would also do the same thing. Anyway, I think Stone Park is the least "special" of the three, both in terms of atmosphere and food. Rosewater has much lighter food (and decor) than Convivium so maybe it depends on what hubby likes.

Thanks, everyone! Very helpful. Will make a decision between SP and C and report back.
