H-Mart in Burlington to open "late fall"
In today's Burlington newspaper, an article appeared with information regarding the new Asian market to open in Burlington. The company representative appeared before the Planning Board on March 6th. According to the article, everything is going as planned and the opening will be in late fall.
A special permit was required because the market will also have a food court.

I'm counting on HMart being open tomorrow. I'll try them for lunch and do some wandering around too. I hope my productivity doesn't decrease too much, and tomorrow being Friday doesn't help either.

My guess is that H-Mart will probably be mobbed this weekend as the entire Boston-area combined Korean-American and foodie communities swarm the place. So Friday seems a prudent choice. Since I am "between jobs", I plan on swinging by in the morning. That will let me hit the food court for lunch and give me the afternoon to figure out what to do with whatever I bring home for dinner.

re: peregrine
Tee hee peregrine. I will definitely make sure to leave a few items on the shelves! Actually, while I probably will leave with some stuff, my plan is more reconnaisance and only a little food. There's just so much room in my fridge and next week is my turn for the CAFC seafood share... another reason I will be shopping on Friday instead of waiting until after the weekend. On my CAFC weeks I usually end up having at least 4 dinners that feature fish.

From what I have been able to divine from the floor plan that is out there on the web (Google Clara Paik H-Mart and you will find it), it seems there will be at least several choices to start, but perhaps not as many as there will be eventually. The plan shows, Korean fried chicken, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, "snack", and "rice pop". There are a bunch of stalls that seem to be unassigned. Perhaps Tous Les Jours is going in the snack slot.

So is the Burlington newspaper just clueless or did they make a last-minute delay in opening?
