Blue Moon in Dennis Village

HZ, a chowhound and I went to Blue Moon last night. We dined early as I went straight from work. I will let HZ add to the review and highlight my experience.
I used to frequent the former restaurant Contrast Bistro and miss it dearly. I dined at the BM several times when they first opened oh what, 10 years back? I never quite loved it so never went back. HZ and I decided to give it a go.
The decor is lovely. The waitstaff very nice. We started with Pellegrino Water. I was toying with a half portion of lobster ravioli and the roasted beet salad or the haddock with olive tapenade and caper berries. HZ chose the clam chowder and beet salad and I went with the haddock.
A bread cone came, It was filled with breadsticks, a cheesy crispy toast and lovely herb bread. I still don't love the bread spread, a white bean thingy. Ick. Pate was also served with tiny toasts. I am not a meat eater and did not know what it was as it was topped with red jelly. The waitress may want to inform diners what they are eating. One bite was enough. I am sure pate lovers would have enjoyed it.
HZ's chowder came. It was a work of art. Towering clams in the shell, perfectly chopped yukon gold potatoes and lots of bacon. I had a taste. Not having eaten bacon in eons I found the dish very salty but VERY tasty.
My entree came and was lovely. There were 3 snap peas, a whole baby carrot (that had no flavour), an amazing wild rice risotto and a nice filet of haddock topped with the tapenade and two caper berries.
The fish was lovely with the tasty tapenade. Alone it was a little too firm / dry for my taste. I enjoyed my dish well.
We were too full for dessert. I surely would go back.
