Restaurants in or near Mt. Washington Hotel at Bretton Woods NH?
I will be at a conference at the Mt. Washington Hotel Oct 22-24. I assume the hotel has several eating places. Any recommendations, especially for dinner? Also, anything in the immediate vicinity for lunch?
Not much in the area.
We find the Mt. Washington hotel "cold" ourselves.
Try Polly's Pancake Parlor in Sugar Hill for breakfast if you get a chance.
When I heard aobut this place, many yr.s ago through posts here,I thought the posters were nuts but the place has great pancakes.
I used to think that pancakes were just pancakes but Polly's makes the best pancakes I've ever had.
i know that sounds a bit nuts but I wasn't a "believer"until I tried the place either.
If you really like corned beef hash that is homemade then try the Littleton Diner in Littleton as well.
Their hash brings in people from all over New England and the hash is great---IMO.
We'e been eating and staying in this area for years every Fall (a week around Columbus Day)and we've never been all that impressed with any dinner places.
We usually wind up at Baliwick's in Littleton which has a martini bar and so-so-food
JMO----
Catnip.
I hope someone else can suggest some place for your beneift and ours as well.

I sound like a broken record but Notchland Inn--about 15 minutes away from MWH.

They have a great 5 course dinner.

Try the dining room at the Inn at Bretton Woods - nice short wooded walk from the resort. Food has always been exceptional and atmosphere is romantic. Make reservations as there are few tables. Have a pre or after dinner in the tiny bar and enjoy the fire and enjoy the knowledgable and friendly bar tender.
The gas station a short distance to the west of the resort has breakfast sandwiches and deli sandwiches that are a cheap (really cheap) alternative to what the resort offers. We usually grab breakfast when we are heading out in the morning to view the foliage.
