thanks,

  1. I think I saw it at Rodman's. Maybe World Market, too.

    1. Oh, is that always made with Cafe du Monde? That must be why Asian grocery stores always seem to have it! I never understood why New Orleans coffee was in Asian stores...Anyway Hmart in Merrifield have some. Probably the other branches do too.

      1. most grocery stores have it. and it does have the needed bitter taste.

I haven't seen it WF P Street or Giant on N or Shoppers in Potomac Yards.

That's odd. I'll check the Harris Teeter on Potomac Avenue.

Have you considered French Market coffee? It also is blended with chicory and is more readily available than Cafe Du Monde. I usually get it when I run out of CDM. Similar taste; not quite as bitter but you can increase the dosage.

        2. Harris Teeter carries it, as well as some Safeways, but it's expensive. Usually $8-9 a can. It can be had at most Asian markets (Super Fresh, HMart) for half that price.

I've seen it at Super H-Mart in Fairfax right at the checkout. Big pallet. They even had decaf.
