where's the best pickled herring and smoked fish in NNJ or Manhattan?

I need to order for Break-Fast. Where in NNJ or Manhattan is the best place for kosher herring. lox , etc.

    I know both places and they are both great, although I prefer Russ & Daughters but neither is Kosher since our kitchen went Kosher. Help!

        We've used Russ and Daughters for years, not being strictly kosher, they are the best but now, with regret, we can't use them. I wish they would stop selling sturgeon and chopped liver.

        For lox go to Zabar's. I'm not a fan of herring so I can't offer any suggestions for it.
