Downtown Seattle for a week
Hey all, the wife and I will be staying in downtown Seattle from tomorow Wed thru next Wed. Coming from Albuquerque and Have never been here. So our hotel is the Camlin on 9th and Pike Street. Where are some of the good local places to chow down at? So far the plans are Pike Place Market, ID, the Seattle Center, and Pioneer Square to grab a Utilikilt. So thats where we're going to be around. No car and I have to hit Elliots oyster happy hour. And has anyone been to Bernard's on Seneca?
I think you might get a larger response if your post indicates that you have spent some time reading the Pacific Northwest Board, which is full of requests from visitors for advice similar to yours, and ask about specific places to eat for which you have some questions that aren’t answered by previous posts. The only specific places mentioned in your post are Elliott’s happy hour (see my post on this subject at http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/654011) and Bernard’s on Seneca (see http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/607524 and http://www.seattleweekly.com/location...). If you like raw oysters, Elliott’s is a must. I have no idea how you came up with Bernard’s as a choice, but unless you feel the need to quaff $2 cocktails at happy hour, there’s no reason to go there.
