From on high, it seemed small compared with last year's festival in Flushing Meadows Corona Park (and it wasn't in a park, always a more pleasant setting). About 6:45, when the Vendy winners had been announced, I walked over to take a look at the Korean event, but it was already closed for the day; Sunday's hours will be the same,11:30-6:00. BTW, there was a similar but much smaller event today, continuing tomorrow (Sunday, September 27, 2009), 2:00-5:00, at the Korean Methodist Church and Institute, 633 West 115th St., in Manhattan. "Fried chicken, California roll, cake, tteokbokki" and several photo-only items are promised on the flyer, which I spotted only an hour ago; good thing I sucked it up and went for an evening run.
