LOOKING FOR TRENDY PLACE WITH GREAT FOOD!!!

Hi All

I will be visiting Chicago in a week for a conference I would like to take visit a few trendy places to eat . I will be staying very close to Navy Pier so I am open to anything in that area, and do not mind hopping in a cab for a moderate ride. Here are my criteria.

*Trendy
*Good People Watching -if possible
*Most of all good food

Publican or Sunda.

The Gage or Japonais. Ditto on Avec and Publican. I have no experience with Sunda.

Sunda is definitely trendy and good people watching and has great food, but don't think you'd go wrong with any of the suggestions.

Avec. Expect a long wait, so either go early or late.
