Best Coffee Candy

I like delicious coffee candy. Just bought a box of Coffee Nips and am enjoying them as I type this...It's good, but a little mild if you know what I mean. Do you have any recs for coffee candy, preferably one with lots of caffeine? Thanks

As an aside, I recommend a fabulous coffee-flavored (and caffeinated!) lip balm. It's appropriately called "spazzstick."

        Yeah! My grandfather ate them.

Yup, my gramps ate them too! Always had Juicy Fruit gum & Hopje's @ their house in Maplewood NJ. I assume you're from Somerville, NJ... home of the world famous Diner.

      2. ok, *love* the Spazzstick name! when i was a kid, we called Pearson's Nips "grownups" because only the adults were allowed to eat the coffee-flavored ones. ahh, memories :)

i once tried a sample of a Coffee Rio candy at Trader Joe's, and IIRC, it had a nice, rich coffee flavor - more so than Nips (though they will always have a special place in my heart). if you have a TJ's nearby you can pick up a bag there, or go on the Coffee Rio website to find someplace near you.

my personal choice for coffee "candy" is dark chocolate espresso beans...though i tend to buy the decaf version, the regular ones certainly contain plenty of caffeine for you!

Thanks. I must have been a kid when you were 'cause only adults were allowed to have coffee nips in my house too!

I have seen the coffee rio candy at TJ's, but have never tried it. I think they're caffeinated too. Will have to check it out. I like the chocolate covered espresso beans too--good idea!

Oh and the spazzsticks are really good. The vanilla toffee (original) is the best, but they also make mint, orange, and chocolate cake. Smell and taste good enough to eat. Very entertaining website too: http://www.spazzstick.com/

Hey -- thanks for that ! I never buy them because I can't take that much caffeine, and I didn't know they came in decaf. Cool!

they're not as common as the regular ones, but i buy them at local gourmet shops. you can also buy them online.

          2. Kopiko. Indonesian. Perfect and very cheap!

I seem to remember Pocket Coffee. It's caffeinated, right? Can't recall what it looks like, but I'm thinking very small pieces....Have you bought it lately? I might need to look for it.

They're coffee-chocolate cubes with sweetened liquid espresso inside.

It pretty much tastes like coffee with some sugar added. I really enjoy them. They also last for a long time, for a hard candy.
