Tips for Dining, Eating and Food Shopping in the Midwest

Downtown Cleveland

Need a dinner recommendation for the downtown Cleveland area (near the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame).

    1. There is nothing chow-worthy right by the Rock Hall. Someday, Cleveland will develop the lake front! My current downtown favorites, which are a reasonable walk or short cab ride from the Rock Hall, are Greenhouse Tavern, Crop Bistro and Michael Symon's Lola. Sorry that "link to a place" doesn't seem to be working.

A short cab ride (or RTA Train Ride) to West 25th Street provides additional possibilities, such as Light Bistro, Bar Cento and The Flying Fig. If you get down to this neighborhood, make sure to stop at the Velvet Tango Room for amazing cocktails and live music.

Let us know where you went!

Got it to work! Links to these places are below.

Thanks, NancyH! It's been a few years since I've been there, and I missed Lola's. I'm not sure this trip is happening for sure, but I'll report back if it does.

Epicure - you owe it to yourself to check out Crop. Best restaurant I've been to in Ohio.

I second all of NancyH's suggestions.
