ISO Good Raw Oysters on the Westside (that won't break the bank)
We're looking for a place a la Acme Oyster House in the French Quarter in New Orleans to satisfy a craving for lots and lots of fresh oysters on the half shell (talkin' at least a couple of dozens) at an affordable price (would jump at $1/oyster but would settle for something under $2...is that unrealistic?). Been to Ocean Ave. and the Sat. Santa Monica farmer's market on Arizona...but am hoping to find something cheaper so that we could eat to our hearts' content.

Enterprise Fish Co. in Santa Monica has $1 fresh oysters and $1.50 fresh oyster shooters during happy hour. I haven't ever been there for happy hour, so I can't speak to the quality, but it is still on the menu.

Is the western side of West Hollywood too far East ?
The Palm - West Hollywood ~ Has a "Prime Time" (aka "happy hour") 5 to 7 & after 9 M-F, with oysters for $1.00. Don't how good they are, or if there is a limitation like 6 per customer. So call first to verify what the real deal is:
