german restaurants (Fredericksburg)

Wondering which of the German places in Fredericksburg is reliably good. Would like traditional German food ... and decent service. Don't mind paying the silly tourist prices just this once, if the food is decent. Thanks for suggestions.

I always eat at Der Lindenbaum. Owned by a German lady. It's always good.

      Danke viel mals!

My only experience in F'burg was getting roped into going to some big beer hall that served a hideous barley wine! Anything would have been better.

At the very least, Der Lindenbaum's menu suggests it would at least be as good as a good German Gasthaus.

Hmmm ... out of curiosity, I plugged in San Antonio, TX, USA data ... and it found a place with the same zip code in Germany ... when I plugged in city, state, zip ... it listed restaurants all over Europe ... but none in the US at all. I'da thunk that Fredericksburg or Boerne woulda been closer than France & Italy!

Interesting ... seems the German restaurant search engine I was commenting on has disappeared! ?A commercial link? It was irrelevant anyway!
