Still awaiting the opening of Rockwell's Express across from Burger Creations on East 8th street. Menu on the awning looks promising: burgers, wings, ribs, salads, shakes...what, no pizza? Anyone know anything about them? I think there was one in Yonkers.

yeah, I've been awaiting its opening- i work nearby.

There used to be several in Westchester & the ony one left is in Pelham. I saw their truck outside on 8th street a few weeks ago, confirming it is the same Rockwells, then saw the awning go up. Good burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, wings... I've always been a fan. It's good but not earthshattering.

I'll be very happy to have another lunch option!

Grand opening today. They let you mix in your ingredients into the burger. Looked like Cold Stone Creamery except instead of ice cream, brownies and chocolate sauce they take raw meat, cheese, onions and even ketchup and mush them together and form into a paddy by hand and then grill in a commercial George Foreman grill where they cook for over 4 minutes. Temperature choice is either medium or well or scrape it off the grill. Shredded lettuce and tomato which I didn't ask for. I give the place a week. Burger Creations across the street is vastly superior.
