Great Burger way out west

There's what I call a "Venusian Recharge Station" out here in Oswego (That means that there have been numerous tenants in a single location) The current squatter is a place called "Scoreboards" which is nominally a routine sports bar. But these guys do a burger that made me take notice. 10oz of good char-broiled beef on a pretzel roll in various guises. I'm on a kick of simple burgers, so I passed on the one with the fried egg, and the one with all the BBQ stuff on it, and went with one that had only hot giardinere. WOW! it was close to perfection. There are all kinda chains out here that are all blah as blah can be, but to find a burger of this caliber was a welcome discovery. My wife had a char chicken sandwich that was good, but not as awesome as the burger. Between the feature in "Saveur" and the cover story in "Chicago" mag, I've been burger-conscious lately. Great to find a worthy contender right outside my front door.
