the cafe section at Pusateri's in Yorkville...on a Saturday morning

What would you recommend?

Do they have any breakfast sandwiches or other breakfasty things, or is it mostly croissants and other pastries? Apart from buying some fruit salad from inside Pusateri's and eating it inside the cafe, do they serve anything that would be considered healthy by most peoples' standards? Anytime I've met friends here for coffee in the past, it seems everyone around me is eating croissants.

Especially interested in hearing about non-danish/non-croissant/non-pain-au-choc recommendations!

  1. I know they have granola and Yogurt just inside the store across from the croisants. They laso have many different fruit cups they make tehmselves as well as fruit juices.. But I am not sure if they have these accessable to the people in the little cafe counter or if you have to go around yourself.

Thanks OnDaGo...I was already on my way there when you posted your reply.

Turns out they also serve egg, bacon and cheddar cheese on a bagel in the cafe- that's what I had today. It was decent. My friend treated, so I'm not sure how much it cost.

Whatever you do, don't go there for coffee. Seems like the kids haven't been trained properly on how to operate an espresso machine. Better off going to Lettieri around the corner.

I don't mind Pusateri's cappuccino. It's been fine the half dozen times I've ordered it. I think it has been as good as any cappuccino I've ordered at Lettieri.

There regular coffee sucks too; not just the espresso and espresso-based drinks. They do have good bagels: both Bagel World and Gryff's. But I don't know if that's just for regular shopping or if they'll slice it for you etc.
