Vegetarian Food Cart (52nd & 6th, just west of 6th)

I walked by this morning, but didn't have time to stop. Has anyone been? How's the food? The cart is located on the North side of the block.

  1. Haven't been, but very much appreciate the heads up. I'll look for it.

    1. super good value -- for six bucks, you get four good sized scoops of food (four choices from a small rotating menu of 10 or so items). it's all pretty fresh tasting, especially the non-stewed items like the grilled vegetables, but everything is a little bland, reminding me of the veggie restaurants i'd sometimes get dragged to as a child in the '70s -- where the only rationale was 'this is good for you, so eat it and don't ask questions.' that was particularly true of the chili, which was just a mess. loved the mashed yams and grilled veggies, though. didn't try the pasta du jour.

Thanks. Definitely seems to be worth a try. I tend to not eat a ton of stuff from street carts, mainly due to perhaps misdirected concerns over sanitary conditions, but given the value and seemingly decent quality you allude to I'll have to stop by one day. I'll report back (though might not be for a while - I'm away next week.)
