Looking for Dried California Apricots

Hi,

I'm looking for dried California Apricots in Orange County or LA area. I went Whole Foods but they only had imported Turkish Apricots. Please guide me to a farmers market or some dry fruits store. Thanks in advance.

And besides that are there any specialty dry fruits store in the area?

the sm farmers market on wednesday and saturday have them. And the co-op in sm has them in bulk...

I'm headed to the Irvine farmers' market (Campus Dr. and Bridge St., behind In-N-Out, 8 AM to noon Saturdays) in ten minutes. They have dried CA apricots from at least a couple of vendors. Trader Joe's will have them, as will Henry's or Sprouts stores.

Really any sizable farmers' market will have them, though, where specifically are you? http://www.cafarmersmarkets.com for the list of markets.

I agree that Hadley's is awesome, but if you gotta have 'em now............I just got back from my tri-weekly trip to my local Trader Joe's and they had 3 different varieties of California dried apricots.

I'm pretty sure you will be able to get them at Trader Joe's, but if they don't have them, then definitely Hadley's will have California apricots. And you don't have to drive to the dessert, Hadley's has an on line store.

I'm really surprised that they did not have CA apricots at Whole Foods! You can definitely get them at Trader Joe's and they even have the non-sulfured ones if you want to eat them with a more natural flavor. Also, check out any farmer's markets in the area... there's usually one dried fruit/nut vendor. Hollywood Farmer's Market is massive, so they should have one.
