Vegetarian restaurants near Silverlake/Los Feliz
My boss is wanting some recommendations in the area and he's basically vegetarian - occasionally some fish, eggs/cheese ok.
Help me impress him with my chowhound resources!
Thanks!

Cru is wonderful... more than vegetarian, it is Vegan and also serves a lot of raw dishes. I am a complete and total carnivore and I love this place:

Fatty's is delicious. It's in Eagle Rock though - too far?

Flore Cafe on Sunset, near Dusty's and Descanso in Echo Park has delicious sandwiches.
But the cat's meow is A Taste of Life on Fountain at Vermont. It's nothing to look at, but they make delicious vegan food with all the flavor of non-vegan food. Dishes like "chicken sandwich" and "macaroni & cheese" are vegan, but are loaded with flavor.
There's also Truly, a vegan Thai restaurant on Hollywood at Bronson. This is decent, although I haven't been blown away.
And for Indian food, try Paru's on Sunset in Hollywood. This is a delightful vegetarian restaurant that can easily be vegan if you just tell them in advance. Excellent dosas, dahl and curries.

There's a vegan restaurant a little south of Los Feliz and east of Silverlake called PURE LUCK, 707 N. Heliotrope Drive @ Melrose, (323) 660-5993
www.pureluckrestaurant.com
Across the street from Pure Luck is SCOOP'S 712 N Heliotrope Dr, (323) 906-2649 that has several daily vegan options

Elf Cafe is still there and the food is wonderful. Good vegetarian cuisine. It's the only BYOB I know of in the LA area. Their hours are suspect. Supposedly they open at 6 but it's more like 6:30-6:45. Still get there early because the place fills up quick. Bring a bottle of wine as well. You can always run across the street to Wine to the People if you forget.

Viet Noodle Bar in Atwater Village makes a good whitfish sandwich. They also have vegetarian options and I believe they make their own soy based drinks.
