lunch suggestions near west 60s ?

i'm going to be in that area with friends and want to know some good lunch places in the area. willing to travel a bit to 70s or even below. i dont know the area. help!

    If Columbus Circle is okay (basically 60th St) then this is an easy request, Jean-George, incredible lunch time deal.

      I agree that you can't do too much better than the 2 for $29 lunch deal at Jean Georges. Desserts are additional @ $8 each. Not exactly too shabby is the 3-course lunch prix fixe for $24.07 at J.G.'s more casual Nougatine.

        For a more casual place, I would recommend Salumeria Rossi, at 73rd and Amsterdam - Italian "small plates".

      There are lots of good places in that area. What's your price range and what kind of food do you want?

      Telepan has a good, but more expensive prix fixe lunch for $24.07. On the cheaper end of the spectrum, there's Maoz on Broadway between 70 and 71st and a Le Pain Quotidiene on W. 65th.
